Participating in the game, kids will gain further insight into:
- companies and sectors of their interest.
- the variety of investment vehicles.
- the concepts and importance of diversification.
- investment objectives and risks.
- critical resources available to aid in choosing their investments.
- how their own emotions may influence their investment decisions.
Participating kids will:
- grow collaboration skills as they work on a team to build and grow their investment portfolio.
- compete internationally, against other teams playing at the same time.
- win awards for building the most profitable portfolio.
- win awards for writing the best essay reflecting their experience.
Kids who choose to participate in the Junior Presidents Stock Market Game will be guided by coaches and collaborate with peers as they create an investment portfolio with $100,000 of game money. While playing the game, kids will gain further insight into companies of interest, the variety of investment vehicles, the importance of diversification, investment objectives and risks, as well as critical resources available to aid in choosing their investments. The game is internationally competitive and includes prizes for those who build the most profitable portfolios and those who create the best essay reflecting their experience.
